About the Retreat

In the midst of everyday life, we forget to connect with the wisdom of our body and of nature.

This weekend has been designed as a space for us to take a moment to stop and recharge. To reconnect with the teachings of nature and the 5 elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air & Ether.

You will be immersed and nurtured by the practices of Yoga, Pranayama, Intuitive movement, Meditation, and a deep connection with nature which will be tools to reconnect us with the elements of nature and it's teachings

Hatha Yoga

Daily Hatha Yoga Practices will ignite your internal fire as well as ground yourself in the beauty of the present moment.
Through our Hatha classes, we will explore the connection with the elements while creating harmony within the body, mind, and spirit.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga in which poses are held for long periods of time. This practice is designed to promote connection with the earth element, encouraging grounding and stability. Yin yoga can be especially beneficial for those who live fast-paced lives and need to find more stillness and balance.

Pranayama

Pranayama is an element of yoga that involves regulating one's breath and the whole energetic body. The word itself is derived from two Sanskrit words: prana, meaning "life force or energy," and Yama, meaning "to control or extend." By working with the breath (representing the element of air), we will learn how to control the flow of prana, creating effects throughout the body and mind.

Intuitive Movement

The intuitive movement practice comes into this retreat to remind us of the natural flow of life. It connects us with the element of water, allowing us to be more fluid, clear with our intentions, more open and flexible in life!

Sacred Elemental Teachings

Together we will explore the ancient teachings of the Ayurveda and Shamanic wisdom relating to the element or Eath, Water, Fire, Air and Ether, and how they can translate to our everyday life. So that when you leave this retreat you can apply simple practices in your routine and continue to feel connected with yourself and with nature

The Location

Swami's Retreat - NSW

Established by yoga expert Swami Sarasvati, the Retreat has been hosting Yoga, retreats and workshops to guests from all over the world since 1983.

Situated on 60 acres of tranquil bushland and only 55 minutes from the center of Sydney, Swamis Yoga Retreat is a haven of peace. The comfortable guest rooms will ensure you a relaxing time. And the Swami's team will also treat you to delicious vegetarian fresh meals for a healthy lifestyle.

Use of retreat facilities (sauna, spa, pool, and gym) is also included.

Ensuite Rooms

Unwind in total comfort in one of our bright and clean ensuite rooms.
All rooms come with fresh linens, heaters and blankets, and fans for warm days. These rooms are simple, exceptionally peaceful, and comfortable. There are options between Single Rooms, Queen Rooms (for couples), and Twin Share Rooms.

Glamping Tends

Get even closer to nature by camping in style in one of our beautiful 5-metre bell tents.

These all-weather bell tents are comfortably equipped with power points, lighting, a heated blanket, and a fan for warmer days. All bedding is provided – you only need to bring your PJs and some uggs/slides to walk to the bathroom pods, which are about 20 seconds away from your tent. O tents can accommodate single beds for solo travelers, twin share beds for friends or colleagues coming together, and queen beds for couples.

About the facilitators:

Lailla Sena & Julio Zavagli

Julio and Lailla found on each other the perfect match to work together. Julio brings the knowledge from the Yogic traditions and translates it into his beautiful well put together Hatha yoga classes. Lailla brings the wisdom from ancient traditions from the native americas, intuitive movement practices and integrative healing modalities which infuses all her work. Their love for yoga and their commitment to living a happy health life are inspiring.
